Resumen

Este artículo explora la interacción entre los marcos teóricos y las aplicaciones prácticas en los editoriales de Johan Galtung, publicados en TRANSCEND Media Service (TMS). Presenta ejemplos específicos en los que Galtung aborda conflictos del mundo real y propone soluciones, destacando el impacto de su trabajo en contextos tanto académicos como prácticos. El artículo examina las contribuciones teóricas de Galtung, centradas en prevenir la violencia más que los conflictos, demostrando cómo sus editoriales sirven como encarnaciones prácticas de estas teorías. A través del análisis de sus editoriales, se revela el enfoque de Galtung sobre la transformación de conflictos y la relevancia contemporánea de sus teorías. El trabajo en conflicto, como lo describe Galtung (2000), es un arte que combina optimismo, idealismo y realismo. Esta filosofía sustenta el método TRANSCEND, que busca soluciones que creen una realidad atractiva para todas las partes involucradas en un conflicto.
